Biodesign Auditorium

The Biodesign Auditorium, officially known as the "Arntzen Auditorium", is room B105 in the Biodesign B building on the campus of Arizona State University in downtown Tempe.

Address:
727 E Tyler St, Tempe, AZ 85281

Public parking is available across the street. Parking costs $4.00/hour, with a maximum cost of $16/day. Can pay with credit card only. You can park in the Tyler St. Visitor Parking structure or the Rural Rd. Visitor Parking structure. Of these two parking structures, the Rural Road is the furthest from the auditorium. If I park there, it takes me five minutes to walk to the auditorium.

The location is easily accessible through public transportation. The light rail has a stop in front of the Biodesign Institute Building. Local bus routes converge on this location. Free shuttles in the "Orbit" system operate. The Mars and Mercury routes both stop in front of the Biodesign Institute.

Perhaps the least expensive way to attend an event in the Biodesign Auditorium is to take a Mars or Jupiter or Mercury Orbit shuttle to the University Drive stop, and walk 5 minutes from there to the location.

Easy instructions for driving to the location and parking: Head toward Arizona State University on University Drive or Rural Road. If you are coming from south or central Tempe, you will be heading north on Rural Road. Turn left (West) onto University Drive. Drive about one-tenth of a mile and take the next left onto S McAllister Ave. Drive one-tenth of a mile and turn left onto E Tyler St. Drive about 300 feet and turn left into the parking garage, the "Tyler St. Parking Structure."

If you park in the Rural Road Parking Structure, that is totally fine. Walk along the wide paved path on the outside of the Biodesign Building, to the north entrance next. Guests will only be allowed to enter through the north Biodesign entrance, not the south Biodesign entrance.
