What: Gather with neighbors of all backgrounds to meet a local church and its members, while eating delicious food!

Who: Everyone is welcome. All ages.

Host: The Del Rio Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meets in the heart of the Shalimar neighborhood, in east central Tempe. Their meetinghouse, located across the street from McClintock High School, serves as both a house of worship and a community center for the neighborhood.

What to Bring: Bring any kind of food: Main dish, side dish, salad, appetizer, bread, etc. Additional desserts are not needed. (Drinks, utensils, plates, etc. will be provided by the hosts.)

Purpose: One purpose of the event is helping to build community with a meal and camaraderie within the neighborhood. The other purpose is explaining the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Program: Elders Leafty and Dahlgren are currently serving as full-time missionaries in Tempe. Once everyone has had the chance to get food and get settled, the Elders will give a presentation discussing what Latter-day Saints believe. Attendees will then be welcome to ask the Elders questions about themselves and/or their church.
