GayLynn Sullivan was a long-time Tempe resident who passed away earlier this month. A celebration of life / memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The memorial service is open to the public.
After the memorial service, there will be a family luncheon, for immediate family members and extended relatives. The food, venue, and services are all being provided to the family at no cost by the Del Rio Ward.
The family luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 11:30 a.m. to prepare so that the luncheon will be ready when the memorial service is over.
If you would like to volunteer to set up and facilitate the luncheon, your service would be much appreciated. Few, if any, of the volunteers actually knew GayLynn. Members of the community volunteer as a way to provide service. They also enjoy the camaraderie and friendship found in serving with fellow volunteers.
Volunteers at the family luncheon do not need to provide anything. Volunteers dress in attire appropriate for a funeral or church service.
Volunteers at the luncheon set up tables with elegant place-settings. They manage the food-serving tables and drinks. This way family members attending the memorial and luncheon can focus on remembering their loved one.
