Mindy Luce is a member of the neighborhood potluck group who many of us have enjoyed meeting at neighborhood events, along with her sons Sam and Max and her husband Alex.

Alex Luce passed away on October 12. The memorial service has been scheduled for November 4th, 2023 at 4pm. Mindy has posted details about the service at the top of Alex's Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/alex.loose.779

Alex was a musician and much of the memorial service will consist of music performed by his many friends in the local musician community.

Everyone who knew Mindy or wants to support her family and pay respects at this time is welcome to attend the memorial service.

Aside from attending the service in person, there is another way to show your support: Mindy has reached out to the neighborhood group to ask for help with the event. Everyone who would like to help is invited to bake refreshments for use at the family meal that will take place after the memorial service. Home-baked items suggested. Quality purchased items also welcome.

Kumiko Hunter is in charge of the family meal. She already has the main course arranged. We would love any support neighbors and friends can provide by baking (or buying) cookies, brownies, bar cookies, lemon squares, blondies, and related refreshments.

Each donation of baked goods may consist of two dozen items (e.g., 24 cookies, or 24 brownies, etc.)

Neighbors and friends who want to attend the memorial service may go there directly.

All baked goods should be brought to the home of Kumiko Hunter at: 1912 E. Loyola Drive, Tempe AZ 85282 prior to the event. Baked goods may be dropped off at Kumiko's home on Friday evening (Nov. 3), between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., or on Saturday morning (Nov. 4) between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. Please feel free to contact Kumiko directly with any questions, at: 602-695-6382 or kumiko.hunter@gmail.com

May I donate baked goods for the family meal even if I did not know the family? Yes! This would be a generous way to support a neighbor and member of neighborhood group, and would be very much appreciated.

May I attend the memorial service if I did not personally know the family? Yes. The service is open to the public. All those who want to pay their respects are welcome to attend?

Is the family meal open to the public? No. The family meal will only be attended by members of the immediate family, relatives, etc. Thank you for understanding.
