Dîner en Blanc ("Dinner in White" in French) is a worldwide event spanning six continents in which people have a meal dressed in white in a temporary dining set up in a public space.
The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988 when François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at the Bois de Boulogne, asking them to dress in white so they could find each other. The event's presence has grown to over 85 cities, with almost 17,000 gathering for the 30th-anniversary event in Paris.
Kim is a member of the neighborhood potluck group. She has organized the group's first Dîner en Blanc event.
Kim and Lesley (an expert in all things French) will be at the event and will briefly explain its significance. Aside from that, there will be no program or presentation. This is basically a traditional neighborhood potluck event with just one significant variation: Everyone wears white.

What should I wear? White
What if I don't have an all-white outfit? We still want you to come, of course! Don't stay home simply because you don't have the perfect outfit for the event. If you only have a white shirt or top, that's fine. The event hosts will have some extra white loaner shirts on hand for anyone who needs one.
What to Bring: Guests may bring any type of food. Enough to feed about 8 to 10 people. Bring a main dish, salad, side dish, etc. Hosts will provide tables, chairs, tablecloths, drinks, plates, utensils, etc.
Railroad: This fun public park features the Desert Breeze Railroad. All rides take tickets you can purchase right at the park for $2.25 each or a Book of 10 Tickets for $20.
