Amandah "Mandy" Goodman lives in our neighborhood. She is moving to a different home, about a mile away. We are organizing service to help her load the moving truck. Another crew will unload the truck.
Mandy will have a moving truck at her home. Everything should be packed. Those who attend this event will load furniture and boxes into the moving truck. We're hoping to have enough people there that this will go fairly quickly.
It is August in Tempe. The weather may be warm. If you come help, you will be welcome to leave at any time.
This event is for anyone interested in providing service. Many people in the neighborhood potluck group have signed up for the relatively new Service Activities sub-group. We are still in the process of organizing this sub-group, and have many plans for it so that it will be fun and provide a way for us to really help each other (including you!).
People who attend Mandy's church will be there helping her, as will some of her friends and family. People from the neighborhood potluck group will be there. Everyone who is healthy enough for this type of activity is welcome to come help, regardless of whether you know Mandy or not.
Note that these events typically feature free donuts for those who help. But this is NOT a potluck event. Please do not bring food. Feel free to bring a thermos or water bottle for yourself.
