Fascinating Questions. Two Round Tables. And a Pool!

Join us for a Socratic potluck! This is a limited seating event, so if you plan to attend, be sure to RSVP before space runs out. Guests at this event will sit around a round table, to eat dinner and discuss pre-announced thought-provoking questions. There are two tables, separated enough to facilitate two separate discussions. After dinner, everyone is welcome to enjoy the pool. (But nobody is required to get in.)

This Event's Questions:
Question 1: (Provided by the host.) If you died and met God face to face and he said he would give you another chance at life and bring you back to earth, but you would have to live your life a different way than you were now so that you could go to heaven, even though you had to change your life drastically and it would be the hardest thing that you have ever had to do, would you be willing to do it?
Question 2: A question will be selected from questions submitted by guests. When you RSVP, please send question suggestions. One question from guests will be selected and posted prior to the event.
Questions Submitted by RSVP-ed Guests:
• Now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned what responsibility do you think the government has to insure an A+ education and a quality life for the babies who are being born to females for whatever reason wanted to end their pregnancy, but cannot.
• If you could instantly gain the knowledge and skill (but no contracts or fame yet) to become the world's greatest chef, greatest singer, greatest actor, or greatest painter, which would you choose?
• Kush suggested: "When the apocalypse happens (zombie, nuclear, solar flare, cybergeddon, asteroid, etc.) what will be the most important jobs that aren't highly regarded? list and rank. Ex. A lawyer would be far more useless than a construction worker/groundskeeper."
• Amy suggested: "If you could interview anyone who would it be and why?"
• Marie suggested: "Are we responsible for our ancestors’ actions?"
• Courtney suggested: "At what age were you the happiest and why?"

What to Bring: Free event. Guests may bring any type of food. Enough to feed about 8 people. Bring a main dish, salad, side dish, dessert, etc. Please specify what you plan to bring when you RSVP, so that others who RSVP can see what foods are on the list, and so that we can have a more balanced meal. You can always change your plans later.

Also bring: A swimsuit and a towel.

People of ALL shapes and sizes will feel comfortable getting in the pool, and are welcome to wear a swim shirt, T-shirt, full body suit, etc., for protection from the sun and comfort.

The location is at the private home of two of the neighborhood group's most active participants. Clark and Kathy would love to have you attend, whether you already know them or not.

Who? Everyone is welcome. But RSVP required. All ages. Children are welcome, and will not count toward the seating limit. (If you plan to bring younger children, please let us know so that we can set up a separate table for children who would be bored by the discussion.)
