The awesome Phoenix-based "Social Progressives" Meetup group is celebrating their 4th anniversary!
Tom and Sadia, two leaders of this group, have met many friends and neighbors in the neighborhood potluck group at past neighborhood events and meetup events. We are excited that they and the Social Progressives group are inviting the neighborhood potluck group to join them for a fun social event.
Who? This is an event for everyone who is a social progressive and/or political progressive. Democrats and those who vote for Democrat candidates welcome, but you do not need to be a registered Democrat in order to attend. Family-friendly event. All ages welcome. COVID-19 vaccination required.
Will there be a program or guest speakers? No. This is a social event. At meetups organized by the Social Progressives group, there may be discussions about politics. But conversation is more likely to be about family, friends, sports, work, movies, or anything that people want to talk about.
What Should I Bring? This is a free event. But guests will bring a dish to share. Enough for 6 to 8 people. Main dish, dessert, salad, side dish, hors d oeuvres, etc. Food only. The hosts will provide plates, utensils, beverages (soft drinks and water), etc.
How Should I Dress? This will be a pretty fabulous event, but it is a casual event. Wear T-shirts and jeans or whatever you're comfortable with.
