The Epicurean Toastmasters Club was began 21 years ago in Tempe, Arizona. It is Arizona's premiere social Toastmasters club. The club regularly invites the neighborhood potluck group to attend its monthly meetings. These are always fun, memorable events with great food!
As with all Epicurean Toastmasters meetings, there will be one or two speeches, 6 to 7 minutes long. And there will be a "Table Topics" session, during which guests will be able to practice impromptu speaking for 1 to 2 minutes, in response to a prompt or question posed by the Topic Master. Nobody is required to speak if they don't want to.
What will the speeches be about? We don't know yet. These are often humorous speeches about something personal. The point of the Toastmasters organization is to help people improve their public speaking abilities.
More about the location: Nestled in the shadow of Piestewa Peak, Aunt Chilada's is truly a historic landmark with a personality all its own. Constructed in the 1890s from desert stone and railroad ties, the original building served as a supply depot and general store for the mercury miners passing through the Dreamy Draw area in Phoenix, AZ.
