Kelvin leads a lively, dynamic Bible study group. Open to all kinds of people with different backgrounds. This is a well-established group which has been meeting together at Fusion Tea Lounge since January 2024. The group loves to have new people join them!
NOTE: Kelvin will be out of town on June 21. Armored Bible Talk will be led on this date by Jim. I have personally been there when Jim has led this group in the past and I have seen that he does a great job!
These meetings are very much "open discussion." You don't need to be well versed in the Bible or anything. The discussion leader usually asks broad questions after looking into a scripture or two and allows people to give their input. The format allows people accustomed and not accustomed to the Bible to participate.
These meetings are not a place to debate. They are more of a place to freely discuss the topic and hear what people think. There's an overall lesson at the end of the day.
To put it simply, it's a time where Kelvin leads a small Bible lesson/discussion. They have fellowship, and food since they're at a restaurant.
Guests who attend the event are welcome to purchase food or drink, but the definitely don't have to! The restaurant is very accommodating and welcoming.
Note that discussion leaders are not pastors. They are regular individuals who have regular jobs in the community. They lead Bible Talk groups as volunteers. These discussion are very informal, but very worthwhile. Most of the time people were there we were fellowshipping, socializing and enjoying some great food. Anybody could enjoy this event, whether Christian, non-Christian, non-religious, or anything.
