Come to the neighborhood group's first-ever "open mic" talent night! This is sure to be a fun event you will not forget!
Jokes, songs, dancing, recitation of a poem... any talent to be shared.
Do you play a musical instrument? Can you perform a karate kata? Know a magic trick? Share your talent (or even your lack of talent) with friends and neighbors. If you're really good, we'll love it. If you're not... we'll probably love it even more.
Who? Everyone is welcome. Men, women, children of all ages.
Am I required to perform an act? No. Everybody is welcome, whether you want to perform or simply watch and applaud.
May I invite a friend to perform, even though they have never attended this group's events before? Yes! Everyone is welcome to perform or simply attend, regardless of whether officially signed up with the neighborhood group.
May I present a static art talent? Yes. Feel free to bring a painting, sculpture, drawing, etc. If your talent is baking, you could bake a cake and share it with the group.
What to Bring: Guests may bring any snack, dessert, finger food, or hors d'oeuvres to share. This is not envisioned as a full "dinner." But we would love to share something we can munch on while visiting and watching people perform. Hosts will provide plates, cups, utensils, etc.
Where will this take place? We will gather in the private theater at the Emerson.
