Join us in wishing Kotone a fond farewell!
Kotone came to Tempe, Arizona from Osaka, Japan. She studied English as a second language (ESL) for four months at Arizona State University (ASU). Kotone loved meeting so many great Arizona neighbors at numerous neighborhood events, from pickleball to Epicurean Toastmasters meetings to trivia night at Mellow Mushroom and so many others.
Who? Everybody, whether you met Kotone many times or have never met her before, is warmly invited to come to this farewell open house.
What? Kotone will be flying back to Japan on July 5th. Come visit with Kotone, her host family, and other neighbors and friends. Enjoy some refreshments. Converse in English with Kotone and see how much her English language abilities have improved after four months. Feel free to stay the whole time or drop in briefly.
Also: If you want to come just to meet other Tempe-area neighbors, or if you mainly want to look at the neighborhood group's free event resource collection (2397 items, including 278 chairs, 70 tables, 247 tablecloths), these are also great reasons to come to the open house!
What to Bring? This is an open house, not a potluck event. There is no need to bring anything. The hosts will provide drinks and refreshments.
Note: This will be an indoor event. In accordance with Japanese custom, guests will not wear shoes in the house but will walk in socks or stockings, or they may wear disposable shoe coverings (which are provided).
