Come join us for the June Epicurean Toastmasters meeting at the Lebanese Palace restaurant in Chandler. This family-owned restaurant features Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine.
The Toastmasters ate here last year and the food is excellent. (The hummus is to die for). Rose and Tim Swearingen will be hosting.
What to bring? You do not need to bring anything. Guests will order and pay for their own food. We will ordering off of the menu.
As with all Epicurean Toastmasters meetings, there will be one speech, 6 to 7 minutes long. And there will be a "Table Topics" session, during which guests will be able to practice impromptu speaking for 1 to 2 minutes, in response to a prompt or question posed by the Topic Master. Nobody is required to speak if they don't want to.
What will the speech be about? We don't know yet. These are often humorous speeches about something personal. The point of the Toastmasters organization is to help people improve their public speaking abilities.
