Have a drink, or a bite to eat, or both. Talk about local issues, or just have fun.
This semi-regular meetup started a few weeks ago as online discussions with neighbors who decided to meet in person. What to do about porch pirates was one of the early discussion topics. Now... neighbors who attend might talk about that, or about break-ins, or dogs, or about anything under the sun.
There are some regulars who come, and space for more to join us!
Last Saturday Kotone and Kumiko from Japan were both there. We ended up talking a lot about hosting ESL students, and international travel, and international food, among many topics. And of course, we heard some of Joe's Tales from Manhattan. We met some great new people and met some regulars.
Kotone arrived in the U.S. only about a week ago. This was the first time she ever ate Cornish food. She thought it was amazing.
Two weeks ago we had a very lively group of six of us discussing some fascinating topics, including the history of UFOs in America, former Arizona governor Evan Mecham, and how to eliminate homelessness in Tempe:

The time before that, there were ten people there, including some people you probably know! Here are photos from the last time this group met, last week:
