Papago Buttes Church of the Brethren is hosting an Arizona Talking Book Library event and we'd love for you to join us. The AZ Talking Book Library is a library that helps individuals who have difficulty reading due to blindness and low vision, as well as those who may have perceptual or reading disabilities. They work with schools, hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions who serve such individuals. In their lending library are countless audio books, magazines, newspapers as well as equipment to help play audio books. Various Braille books and magazines available through their services as well.
This presentation will show you the various equipment they have available, as well as provide steps to help get individuals plugged into these resources.
The event will run for roughly an hour and is completely free. A light luncheon will be provided. All ages are welcome to attend, but there won't be childcare available. It will be held in the church's Multi-Purpose Room, located in the Education Building (leftside) on their campus.
The church is located at 2450 N 64th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, near the corner of Oak and 64th St (next to the Elks Lodge).
