Women4Women Tempe is a wonderful, local, all-volunteer organization. Their mission statement: "...to help homeless and low-income women in our communities maintain their dignity, health, and self-respect by providing feminine hygiene products to those in need."
The neighborhood group has organized a service activity with Women4Women.
After the service activity, there will be snacks/refreshments, and time during which we can socialize further and hear more from leaders of the Women4Women organization. Organizers from the neighborhood potluck group will be providing drinks and snacks. Anyone who attends is welcome to bring something as well. Bringing a food item to share is totally optional.
Women4Women Tempe calls this event a "packing party." Volunteers will be preparing packs that are distributed to women in need. Anyone can participate in this service activity, including men, women, youth and children. The service activity typically lasts about one hour, plus some time for set up and loading materials into trucks.
What to Bring? Please bring new packages of pads, tampons, and individually-wrapped panty liners. Any brand and any size is welcome! Women4Women Tempe and event hosts will have some materials on hand. But Women4Women Tempe operates purely through donations, so anything you can bring will help immensely!
What to Bring (food/snack/refreshments - OPTIONAL): Feel free to bring any type of food item to share. This can include a dessert, snack, salad, bread, side dish, etc.
Full kitchen is available at the event venue: Note that this indoor location has a full-size event kitchen with multiple refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, etc. IF your food item needs to be refrigerated, warmed, plugged-in, etc., that is fine!
May I donate supplies ahead of time, but not go to the service activity event? Yes, that will be helpful! Whether you plan to go to the event or not, you can donate needed supplies ahead of time. You may contact us directly (rsvp@potluckdinner.org or text 480-269-5823) to arrange drop-off or pick-up of donations prior to the event.

The service activity will not be followed by a full dinner, which is a change from an earlier plan: The service activity aspect of this event has not changed. But originally there was a full potluck dinner planned for AFTER the service activity. This changed after a member of the neighborhood group died unexpectedly, and the memorial service was scheduled for November 4th. In order to avoid a scheduling conflict with the memorial service, the organizers of another potluck dinner event graciously agreed to move their event from November 4 to November 11. So the "full dinner" aspect of the service activity event was removed. There will be snacks.
