Glenda Lambert is a Tempe neighbor and member of the neighborhood potluck group.
Glenda is hosting a potluck dinner to celebrate National Parents' Day! This annual holiday is celebrated to highlight the role of parents in the development of every child. Glenda will be at this dinner to tell people about the holiday and the national virtual event scheduled for the next day. She will answer questions from guests.
Who? Everyone is welcome! Family-friendly event. You do NOT need to be a parent in order to attend.
What to Bring: Guests may bring any type of food. Enough to feed about 6 to 8 people. Bring a main dish, salad, side dish, dessert, etc. Hosts will provide drinks, plates, utensils, etc.
In addition to this in-person potluck dinner, Glenda is inviting everyone to a nationwide virtual event commemorating National Parent's Day. More about that here:

More About this Holiday:
Although not as well-known as the traditional Mother's and Father's Days, National Parents' Day nonetheless bears an important place in United States history and culture. The day is designated to celebrate the significant role that parents play in the lives of their children and to promote smart and responsible parenting.
In 1994, Congress unanimously passed “The Parents’ Day Resolution” establishing the fourth Sunday of July as a perennial day of commemoration: On August 5, 1994, a joint resolution was introduced in the House of Representatives on "to establish the Fourth Sunday in July as Parents' Day." The House passed it on September 30, and the Senate on October 4. On October 14, 1994, President Bill Clinton signed the resolution, and National Parents' Day was born.
